Irregular cuts of timber used on the backing boards suggesting an ad hoc approach to the construction.184cm high, 130cm wide, 68cm deepThe dresser was purchased by the present vendor from Paddy Patrick Charles Griffiths of Greta West in 1977. Paddy was the son of Grace Kelly Griffiths, one of Ned Kellys younger sisters (1865 - 1940). Grace married Edward Albert Ned Griffiths (1861-1939) in 1889. They had nine children; Sarah Ann (1890-1976), Albert Edward (1893-?), Archibald Walter (1894-?), Amelia Adelaide (1896-?), Michael Leslie (1899-1958), Joseph (1899-1988), John James (1900-1960), Peter William (1903-1975) and Patrick Charles (1907-1989). Paddy had inherited the dresser from his mother when she passed away in 1940.
