Oldfield triple-spring cricket bat by Gunn & Moore Makers of Nottingham, with the impressed autograph of Oldfield on the rear of the blade, together with an original Bert Oldfield pen signature on the upper-left. 88cm long and presented in a custom-built display case.W. A. Oldfield personally autographed this Gun & Moore bat named after him for cricket collector Cecil Cooke in the early 1970s at Oldfields Sydney sports store. Oldfield had played for Australia and New South Wales between 1919 and 1937, appearing in 54 Test Matches. He was the unwitting cause of much Australian fury when, batting at Adelaide in the third test of the Bodyline Series, he was hit on the head as he ducked into a ball from Larwood and had to be carried off the field. On recovering consciousness, he said It was my own fault. He and Larwood became great friends. $5001,0009192'
