WILLIAM LANGHORNE of Ballarat rare 18ct gold signet ring with Ballarat coat of arms, circa 1850s, stamped "W.L." flanked by two crowns. Stamped pieces from Langhorne are extremely scarce and this ring is one only three examples known to our rooms and is possibly the earliest example of them all. 6.8 grams.

A MAGNIFICENT SOLID GOLD HORSE RACING TROPHY - "BREEDER'S PLATE", S.R.P.T.C., DENILIQUIN, December 1951. A superb classical-style two handled cup in 18ct yellow gold (758gm), awarded to Mrs. A.J. Webb's "BUCKULANA", ridden by jockey K. McMahon, as engraved to the front of the cup. The rear of the cup carries details of other wins from the same stable, between 1928 and 1950.
