Lot 4051824 - AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN TWO TICKET-OF-LEAVERS FOR THE RENTAL OF FARMLAND James Dorr [or Dore], one of 200 convicts transported on the Surrey in January 1814 had been granted a ticket-of-leave by 1820 and had married in 1817 (a fellow convict, Mary Lyons from Limerick, who had arrived in 1811]. The present document, an indenture dated November 1824 formalizes an agreement between him and a fellow, ex-convict, John Murphy.
