Lot 12628 May 1928 (AAMC.121) Darwin - Broome registered cover flown, signed and endorsed by Wing Commander L.J. Wackett in the Widgeon II Amphibian which he designed and built. On May 28 he carried 4 covers from Darwin to Broome where they were forwarded onwards by registered post. Wackett waited in Broome where he joined the RAF Far-East flying boats on 1st June, then continuing his flight around Australia, arriving at Mascot on 1st July. Ex Eustis & Frommer.
