Description:
An archive of private correspondence, mainly mid-1940s - mid-1950s. Predominantly comprising of telegrams, letters, cards, notes and fragments from Heifetz to his second wife, Frances, who he usually refers to as "Funny Face".
Much can be gleaned about the life on tour of a hugely popular performer while his future wife, then wife and mother of his son, Jay, is often left at home. A remarkable opportunity to gain an insight into the challenges to the relationship which ultimately failed. (more than 100 items).
