December 29th, 1939 Play Bill program for a Charity concert and series of entertainments to aid the Chatham Square Music School, at the Chanin Auditorium, New York. With an illustrious cast, mock advertisements (Stradivarius - The Violin of Quality. Every Strad contains 25% more notes than any other comparably priced instrument.) and details of twelve different entertainments. Performers included Jascha Heifetz, Vladimir Horowitz, Arturo Toscanini, Samuel Chotzinoff, Matilda de Mille, Emanuel Feuermann and Laurence Tibbett. They obviously had fun, while raising money for the School. Seats for the Benefit, which Mr. Toscanini conducted in a Prince Albert coat, red Ascot and spats, went for $100. Thirty standing-room tickets fetched $1500.
