Lot 471928 (Apr 15) Alaska-Norway by Hubert Wilkins & Carl Ben Eielson with 2c Washington tied by 'BARROW/ALASKA' cancel, faint 'SVALBARD/RADIO' h/s & signed "Hubert Wilkoins/April 21st 1928". This was the first inter-contintal flight across the North Pole. Wilkins was knighted & assumed the title Sir Huibert Wilkins.
