1925 (Sep 26) China-Japan per Francesco de Pinedo, China '3/Cts' on 4c Junk tied by bilingual cds & light but obvious boxed 'FIRST AIRMAIL/CHINA-JAPAN' h/s, signed by the pilot "FdePinedo" at lower-left, blemishes on the reverse. The mail was mislaid until March 1926 & only 52 items were recovered and forwarded. Only six covers were signed. Gaetano Vullo's similar cover sold on 11.11.2003 for £1529.
