1920 (June 26) Lismore-Tenterfield #39a intermediate cover to Inverell with red typed endorsement "Per Lynn Bros Aerial Mail" carried by Frank Roberts in an Avro 504K biplane on the first official airmail service in NSW (and the first in Australia handled by the PMG's Dept) from Casino to Tenterfield and onwards by surface mail, franked with KGV 1½d brown tied 'CASINO/25JU20/N.S.W.' datestamp and signed 'Frank Roberts Pilot' on face, fine condition, plus reproduction photograph of James Lynn handing mailbag to Roberts in front of plane, Cat $2,400. [the flight was conducted on behalf of Lynn Bros and the Lismore Chamber of Commerce; only about five known]
