[The 10th Battalion, part of the 3rd Brigade, were the covering force and the first ashore for the landing on Anzac on the 25th April 1915. Sailing to France in March 1916 they participated in trench warfare with major action at Pozieres, Ypres, Amiens and Polygon Wood.]
