Description:
1906 cover to British Columbia endorsed "Post Cards", badly damaged in transit from being over-packed, mss "T30" & Canadian "12cts due" with Canadian Postage Due 2c x6 tied to the reverse by 'NANAIMO' cds, apparently returned to the sender endorsed "on almost every packet I had to pay that much or more. Safe [sic] this for your collection as it is"! Full of character! [The letter rate was 2d per ½oz so 3d did not cover the second weight step. However, by endorsing the cover "Post Cards", the sender may have expected that the Printed Matter rate of 1d per 2oz would apply, and it is debatable whether the cover was underpaid at all]
