Unusually fresh.The Australian 3d green airmail stamp issued on 20 May 1929 was later made available in booklets of12 stamps. This cover design and wording was used after July 1935 to include reference to the Australia - Singapore - England Airmail Service although a very small number of these survive intact today. The booklets only remained on sale until the end of 1936 when the remainders were withdrawn and destroyed.[See also SG. Kingsford Smith had been staying with Anthony Fokker while recuperating from an illness before returning to Australia.
