Sir Francis Humphrys at The British Legation, Kabul; bearing a fine backstamped example of the "SPECIAL INSPECTOR / 30 NOV.28 / FOREIGN MAILS" double-ring cds alongside a poor "PESHAWAR / 6JA29" cds; also endorsed Peshawar-Kabul" and initialled.Kabul was invaded and occupied by Saqqawist forces in November 1928. They were in occupation for 9 months during which period the RAF 70th Squadron flew sorties maintaining communication and evacuating some 400 people.
