He had lived at Windsor for upwards of forty years. In his early career he successfully carried on business as a chemist and druggist, and subsequently as auctioneer. Retiring from business, he filled several public offices 305 with credit and satisfaction.Interestingly, what was omitted from this brief summary, was the fact that White had arrived in New South wales as a convict, 305 one of 160 convicts transported on the ship Eliza, which arrived in November 1822.
