The Centaurus G-ADUT, an Imperial Airways flying boat, was acquired by the RAAF in September 1939 (and renamed A18-10), as it was in Australia at the time. It was destroyed by enemy action on 3rd March 1942, on Broome Harbour, piloted by Captain Keith Caldwell.
