He was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame in 2001, and chosen as a member of both the Sydney Swans and Williamstown Seagulls Teams of the Century in 2003. 2009 brought yet more recognition, with his selection as an inaugural inductee into the Swans Hall of Fame.
