In addition to signing as part of the Australian team, Bradman has signed in the ownership position below the original owner Webster, who was a cricket umpire at Bowral where they had become friends. The bat is presented in a custom-built glass-fronted display case with green felt interior adorned with nine lapel buttons depicting members of the team. Overall 94cm high, 22cm wide, 10cm deep.Provenance: Gifted to the present vendors grandfather in 1963 by the local Umpire at Bowral, Webster, whose name appears on the bat.Bradman appeared in all five Tests but was only required to bat seven times. He made a total of 974 runs with a high score of 334 and an average of 139.14.
