On July 23 the plane Seafarer, A De Havilland Dragon, was forced to land in a swamp near Bridgeport, Connecticut, after running low on fuel. The cover signed is by both pilots with type-written note on reverse: This letter was recovered from the marsh at Bridgeport .crashed in the Seafarer July 23rd.1933 after successfully crossing the North Atlantic from Wales, New York City July 27th 1933.
