A stunning antique French solid 18ct gold box by LOUIS-FRANCOIS TRONQUOY of Paris. Beautifully crafted with hand-painted portrait on ivory of QUEEN VICTORIA of England, surrounded with enamel and paste stones, 1871. 4cm high, 9.3cm wide, 6.3cm deep, an impressive 201.5 grams.

An antique French solid 18ct gold box by LOUIS-FRANCOIS TRONQUOY of Paris, beautifully decorated and engraved with the French Royal Ducal crown and monogram for ANTOINE D'ORLEANS, the youngest son of LOUIS PHILIPPE, the King of France. Antoine d'Orlens duc de Montpensier (1824-1890) was married in 1846 and left France in 1848 to live with his wife the Infanta LUISA FERNANDA in Spain. The box most likely dates to this mid 19th century period when Royal gifts were being exchanged. Circa 1847. 2.2cm high, 9cm wide, 5.3cm deep, 98.2 grams.

YOSHIMITSU fine quality antique Japanese Miyao studio style patinated bronze statue of a kneeling samurai archer. The mixed metal sculpture with detailed gilt highlights and textured armour with original bow, arrow and tanto, signed in a gilt rectangular seal "Yoshimitsu". On later rosewood stand., Meiji period. 42cm high, 27cm wide.
