Sports auction brings record online listeners

Live coverage of the Sports & General Memorabilia auction last night contributed to another record month of online listening to the CLA Auction Webcast system, as desk-bound sports fans kept up-to-date with the nights progress.

The 'Live Audio Webcast System' last night eclipsed all previous online listening records by more than 200 per cent. The system figures - buoyed by office workers and sports fans alike keen to follow the action on the internet - contributed to a webcast total of 5+ hours of live listening, the most for a single auction night. With television crews and a well known sporting personality attending the auction it was mainly the anticipated cricket items that helped to push numbers up online.
