200 PC 7 Feb.1928 (AAMC.118) Calcutta to Rangoon, flown postcard, 50 of which were unofficially carried as part of an England-Australia flight by Bert Hinkler; h/stamp "FROM CALCUTTA/ BY BERT HINCKLER (sic) / A POSTAL MEMENTO/ OF NOTABLE FLIGHTS/THROUGH INDIA"; Rangoon and Calcutta cds's on front. Some ageing, but very scarce card. Cat.$600.  $400 - $450

AAMC.161 Melbourne to Sydney (and AAMC.162), also AAMC.360 New Zealand to Australia (x4) and 1951 (AAMC.1271) Australia to Chile; also strip of 5 AAS Ltd vignettes, 1929 airmail strip 6 labels and NEAL 1930 vignette; then April 1933 Pigeongram vignette (AAMC.PP5b) on cover. 206 C 28 Mar.1931 (AAMC.184a) Lord Howe Island to Queanbeyan, NSW, flown cover by Francis Chichester; two 3d commems cancelled by cds "LORD HOWE ISLAND/6 JU/1931/NSW" (the flight was delayed due to typhoon damage); 110-130 covers numbered between 22 and 123 are believed to have been carried (this is no.104). 208 C 3 July 1931 (AAMC.210) Thursday Island to Japan, flown cover by Francis Chichester where on August 15 he crashed; a certification on the reverse signed by Chichester tells the story and identifies this cover as No.128 of 145 carried. Fine and desirable. Cat.$475  $400 - $450
